U.S. Grains Council President and CEO Tom Sleight applauded the Senate Agriculture Committee for its work to approve farm bill legislation Tuesday. Sleight says he’s optimistic – though cautious – because we’ve been down this road before. When it comes to the continued expansion of U.S. agricultural exports – he says it’s important for Congress to approve a comprehensive, five-year farm bill before the current extension expires.<\/p>\n
