USGC Welcomes Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy As Newest Member

The U.S. Grains Council is pleased to welcome Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC, often known as SIRE, as its newest member.

The company is a dry-mill ethanol plant near Council Bluffs, Iowa. The plant processes more than 44 million bushels (1.12 million metric tons) of corn to produce about 110 million gallons (416.4 million liters) of denatured ethanol, 365,000 tons of distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and 90,000 pounds per day of corn oil.

SIRE’s mission is to benefit the surrounding community and employees and build value for shareholders.
