The U.S. Grains Council’s 53rd Annual Board of Delegates Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, starts Monday! Attendees should be reminded that you need a current passport to travel to Canada.
The Council has planned an exciting meeting, featuring many renowned Canadian and U.S. speakers who will discuss in depth the complex trade relationship between the United States and Canada. Canadian speakers include Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Minister Gerry Ritz; Denis Landerville, director of trade negotiations division of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada; and Frédéric Seppey, chief agriculture negotiator and director general trade agreements of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada — just to name a few.
While this meeting will devote much of its time to discussing the northern neighbor of the United States, it is also the Council’s annual business meeting, with Advisory Team meetings, officer and Board elections, and approval of the budget for the next year on the agenda. Information on voting will be provided in the meeting booklet.
