Global market dynamics will take center stage this summer in Montreal with Nick Hoyt, vice president of Informa Economics, slated to keynote the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC’s) 55th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting. Hoyt will speak on the current U.S. and global supply and demand outlook, as well as additional economic and policy factors affecting market expectations.
“We are very excited to have Hoyt coming to our summer annual meeting to provide context and background for the rest of our discussions about our global operations, said USGC Chairman Ron Gray. “Reviewing current trends and outlooks for our global marketplace will put USGC delegates on the right page for the rest of the week.
At Informa, Hoyt is responsible for client service and business consulting with a particular focus on price risk management and strategic business planning related to the grains, oilseeds and food ingredients sectors. Informa Economics is a world leader in agricultural and commodity market research and analysis, with staff in the U.S., Canada and Brazil and affiliated organizations India, China, Australia, Russia, Ukraine and Argentina.
In addition to global market dynamics, trade policy and ethanol export promotion will be featured subjects on the first day of the summer meeting activities. Deeper dives into pockets of demand and biotechnology will be subjects featured in the general session and breakout sessions on the second day.
The Council’s seven Advisory Teams (A-Teams) will also meet to review implementation of the 2015 Unified Export Strategy (UES), the Council’s operational plan, and discuss new opportunities and priorities for the year ahead.
