Meet the Export Exchange 2012 Latin American Trade Team

More than a dozen Latin American grain buyers and end-users are traveling to Minneapolis this month for Export Exchange 2012, co-sponsored by the U.S. Grains Council and the Renewable Fuels Association. The trade team is composed of purchasing managers for feed millers and raw material importers from throughout Latin America. Participants include the second largest poultry and swine producer in Brazil, one of the top three feed mills in Colombia and the largest poultry producer in the Dominican Republic.

Currently, many Latin American operations purchase a majority of their distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) from South American outlets. Export Exchange 2012 will be an invaluable opportunity to grow the market share for U.S. grains and co-products and build relationships with Latin American buyers.

Representatives from the Latin American team will also serve on Export Exchange panels; one during an interactive forum with grain buyers from around the world to explore why they chose to buy U.S. coarse grains and another to give impressions on the conference. Later in the week, the team will visit infrastructure, crop, animal and processing operations throughout the Midwest.

The Latin American grains and co-products market is booming. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to make contacts and build business. The last day for online registration is October 5, after this date, registration will be available onsite.
