Attendees at the U.S. Grains Council’s 53rd Annual Board of Delegates Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, should be sure to visit … and revisit … the Grains Foundation Silent Auction bidding table. The auction will be held Sunday, July 28 at 10 a.m. until Tuesday, July 30 at 2 p.m.
This year’s auction will benefit the Grains Foundation a non-profit that supports educational and charitable initiatives to enhance public understanding of the value of trade and improve lives. The Foundation’s most recent activity was the 2013 I-CAL mission, which took a group of future ag leaders to Brazil to gain a better appreciation of our major competitor to the south and to better understand the value of international agricultural trade.
“Your support for the Foundation is essential to support our mission,” said Wendell Shauman, chairman of the Foundation. “The Foundation is supported entirely with donations from the Council’s individual and corporate members.”
Bidders will compete for unique items including hand-made jewelry, a pair of custom-made luxury boots, a three-day hunting excursion, and much, much more. Additional submissions are welcome, so give serious thought to products, goods or services you are able to donate for auction in Ottawa.
All goods and services donated for the Foundation auction are fully tax deductible.
