America’s Heartland, the award-winning national television series celebrating American agriculture, begins an unprecedented seventh season on public television and RFD-TV this week with new sponsors and new and compelling consumer features.
Farm Credit and the United Soybean Board join the American Farm Bureau Federation as supporters of the only national program educating consumers about the origins of their food, fuel and fiber. AFBF has supported the series since its launch in 2005; this year, their sponsorship aligns with their renewed education outreach efforts through the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture.
“America’s Heartland is the perfect venue for U.S. farmers to showcase their role in feeding a growing world. The Council has been fortunate to be involved in this program and will continue to support its efforts, said Alan Tiemann, U.S. Grains Council At-Large Director who traveled with the program in season 4. Check out “The Journey of Corn, where Alan and his wide Lori travel to Taiwan and China to follow their corn crop from Seward, Neb., through the U.S. transportation system to the international marketplace.
