Allwood to Address Future of Global Energy Market at Export Exchange 2010

Seeking to provide an answer to the question of whether or not the long-term energy supply and demand problem has been solved or if this is the “lull before the storm, Jim Allwood, senior vice president of Informa Economics Inc., will address attendees of the Export Exchange 2010 regarding the current constraints and opportunities of the global energy market.

Export Exchange 2010, an international conference focused around the export of U.S. distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and coarse grains; will be held Oct. 6-8, in Chicago, Ill.

“Energy markets are approaching an exciting new era driven in significant measure by economic growth and development in markets outside of the United States and other Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries, Allwood said.

This new era will be centered in markets focusing on the global trade of commodities such as coarse grains and their co-products, according to Allwood. This will have a positive result on world coarse grain trade as a whole.

“It will be an era demanding greater energy supplies and major development of energy industry infrastructure, Allwood said.

Prior to holding his position as senior vice president of Informa Economics Inc., Allwood provided profit risk management consulting services to companies reliant on food and agricultural products as primary inputs or market opportunities. Allwood came to Informa Economics from the Ralston Purina Company.
