Cash corn prices are steady across the U.S. this week, averaging $3.55/bushel while FOB ethanol plant DDGS prices are unchanged at 137.50/MT. DDGS are priced at 98 percent of cash corn values, up from last week and below the three-year average of 106 percent. Soymeal prices are firmer, reaching $323/MT this week, which puts DDGS prices at 43 percent of soymeal.
Merchandisers report that trade has been light this week with international buyers having largely filled near-term needs. FOB NOLA offers for September shipments are higher at $203/MT amid expectations that U.S. supplies will tighten this fall. Prices for 40-foot containers CIF Southeast Asia are $1/MT higher this week at $232/MT.
