Jaime Cuellar is a Regional Consultant in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region for the U. S. Grains Council a nonprofit organization that promotes U. S. corn, barley, sorghum and related products worldwide. Cuellar started with the Council in 1997 implementing activities as a consultant in several Latin American and Caribbean countries.
Cuellar is a native Colombian and holds a bachelor´s degree in animal science and a master´s degree in agriculture from Texas A&M University.
Prior joining the Council, Cuellar spent 16 years as a technical director in a Colombian Cattle Investment Company. In 1980 , Cuellar worked as procurement manager for Kellogg´s de Colombia S. A., a local subsidiary of Kellog´s International, USA; Cuellar was also involved in a family owned swine breeding and finishing operation for 30 years in his farm and is presently involved in a small dairy cattle operation near Bogotá, Colombia´s capital.
