Who We Are
Maria Murphy serves as the manager of membership administration for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products worldwide. In this capacity, she is responsible for membership services, including member retention, member education, dues, billing and the Council's membership database.
Prior to the Council, Murphy worked for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties as membership and meetings assistant. In this capacity, she assisted in the implementation of the annual meeting and was the staff liaison for the leadership cohort.
Murphy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mount Holyoke College.
The U.S. Grains Council is a private, non-profit partnership of agribusinesses and producers committed to building and expanding international markets for U.S. grains and their products. The Council has 10 international offices that oversee programs in more than 50 countries. Support for the Council comes from its producer and agribusiness members and the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the U.S. farm bill.
