Larry Byrd


Larry Byrd serves as the receptionist for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS). In this capacity, Byrd supports the global programs department and provides administrative support.

Prior to the Council, Byrd worked for the Nationwide Agribusiness as an agribusiness underwriting intern. There, he provided in-depth market research, evaluated cost-effectiveness of underwriting systems and proposed risk management strategies.

Byrd is pursuing a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama in consumer affairs.

The Council is a private, non-profit partnership of agribusinesses and producers committed to building and expanding international markets for U.S. feed grains and ethanol. The organization has 10 international offices that oversee programs in more than 50 countries. Support for the Council comes from its producer and agribusiness members and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) through programs authorized in the U.S. farm bill.
