Emily Byron

Manager of Global Programs

Emily Byron serves as the manager of global programs for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the global use of U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products worldwide including ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS). In this capacity, Byron assists with strategic analysis of program planning and development; implementation and evaluation of USGC programs; and the recruitment of consultants.

Byron previously worked as the global programs coordinator with USGC were she supported the global programs department and provided administrative support.

Byron holds a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College in globalization studies with a double minor in philosophy and religious studies. She also holds a master’s degree from Kings College London in contemporary studies.

Founded in 1960, the U.S. Grains Council works to promote exports of U.S. grains and related products through a network of 10 overseas offices and 30 in-country representatives. The Council believes exports are vital to global economic development and to U.S. agriculture's profitability. Support for the Council comes from its producer and agribusiness members and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) through programs authorized in the U.S. farm bill.
