Wendie Cable Departs USGC After Five Years of Service

The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) recently recognized Wendie Cable, assistant for the Council’s executive staff and members of its Board of Directors, for five years of service at the organization's 14th International Marketing Conference and 57th Annual Membership Meeting in Panama City, Panama. This week, the Council again thanked Cable for those years of hard work and wished her well as she leaves her role. 

Up-and-Coming Council Leadership Infuses Energy Into USGC

As the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) recognizes long-time leaders, it’s also important to honor the up-and-coming member representatives who will form the Council's talented leadership in the future. 

Examples of this are six grower leaders with five years of service who are already making their marks through the A-teams or on the Council’s Board of Directors:

Julia Debes Joins USGC As Communications Manager

The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) welcomed Julia Debes to its headquarters staff on Thursday as manager of communications.

Debes comes to her new role with extensive experience in agriculture communication, including membership-focused communications and international market development.

She most recently worked as the communications director for the National Sorghum Producers, a USGC member, and previously in her own communications company and as assistant director of communications at U.S. Wheat Associates.
